Hunter Valley Wine Country is a 2-hour drive north of Sydney, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Brokenback Range.

Hunter Valley now yields more than a hundred wineries and cellar doors, embracing areas such as Pokolbin, Rothbury, Broke Fordwich, Lovedale, Wollombi Valley and Mount View.

What ever your taste and budget, accommodation is in abundance with self contained cottages and cabins set amongst the vines, superb guesthouses, charming bed & breakfast, and 5 star resorts.

If you are hunting for something new to do, you may wish to experience a glorious sunrise from a hot air balloon, horse ride through a vineyard, browse through galleries and antique shops, or see the Valley by horse and carriage, bicycle or even limousine!

The Hunter Valley is known for its award winning wines, however the valley now supports a burgeoning olive industry with cold pressed olive oil and other olive products. You will also find wood fired bread, delicious Hunter Cheeses, stone fruits, table grapes, honey, home made condiments and sauces, and even chocolate made with chilli.

Although famous for food and wine the Hunter Valley has also made a name for producing some of the most spectacular events. There are festivals celebrating the lush local produce, such as Lovedale Long Lunch and Semillon and Seafood, concerts featuring the world’s top musicians and a smooth medley of both local produce and relaxing music is created at Jazz in the Vines and Opera in the Vineyards.

Located in the heart of the Hunter vineyards at the foothills of the Brokenback Ranges are the spectacular Hunter Valley Gardens. Spanning over 25 hectares, be amazed by the sensational sights, colours and fragrances of the twelve stunning feature gardens.

Many spectacular buildings can also be found in the Hunter amongst the marvellous scenery, along with several galleries and museums. Specialities seem to have no end in the Hunter with galleries displaying various antiques and crafts including glassware, jewellery, paintings, sculptures and wrought iron.

The Hunter Valley has also become the first-choice destination for the ultimate in romantic weddings ... the locations and facilities are perfect.
